She is a ghoul which means she is stronger and faster than your average human, can regenerate, and only eats human flesh. Hinami is special in two ways — She can hear and smell better than most ghouls (who already had a big leg-up in that area), and she has two different kagune. One is a spine-like rinkaku and the other is a petal-like koukaku. (See here.)
